French administration slammed Pakistan and summoned Pakistan's envoy to lodge a protest against a statement by President Arif Alvi over a bill in France cracking down on radical Islam. "When you see that laws are being changed in favour of a majority to isolate a minority, that is a dangerous precedent," Alvi had said. French foreign ministry asserted that the bill has "no discriminatory element."
