Since the partition in 1947, Pakistan has opened the doors of the historic Gurdwara Choa Sahib for Sikh devotees in Punjab province, including nationals from India to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev in November. The Gurdwara in the Jhelum district was in a state of neglect for the past 72 years after Pakistan community member migrated from the country. A ceremony took place with kirtans being performed.
