Pakistan Supreme Court suspends Imran Khan's order to extend Army chief Qamar Bajwa's tenure

In a major blow for Imran Khan government, Pakistan Supreme Court on Tuesday suspended the extension of General Qamar Bajwa as the Pakistan army chief. Bajwa's tenure was earlier extended by Prime Minister Imran Khan for another three years. The court suspended extension of General Bajwa's tenure till further hearing on Wednesday and stated that only the President of Pakistan can approve such extensions in tenure and not the PM.
