Parliamentary panel grills Twitter over temporary locking Amit Shah's account in 2020

Twitter representatives were questioned by the members of a parliamentary committee over temporarily locking the account of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in 2020. The committee raised questions about the fact-checking mechanism of the platform. Twitter had temporarily locked Amit Shah's account due to an "inadvertent error". The Home Minister's display picture was also removed after a "report from the copyright holder".
