How India secured Hamid Nihal Ansari's release?

Pakistan has announced the release of Indian national Hamid Nihal Ansari from the prison after serving 3-years in the Peshawar Central Jail. Ansari's sentence completed on December 15th but his documents weren't in order and he couldn't leave Pakistan. However, the Peshawar High Court has asked the govt to complete his repatriation process within one month. The Indian government has welcomed this news.
