PM Modi turns down the invite, won't inaugurate Khelo India Youth Games in Assam

A senior BJP leader said that PM Modi will not be going to Guwahati to inaugurate the 'Khelo India' Games due to lack of time. Assam BJP spokesperson Maral told the visit is cancelled. PM had informed the sports ministry as well as the Assam government that he won't be able to open the event. The govt has declared the Khelo India Games as an event of national importance wherein about 6800 athletes shall participate.
