Poem about migration is deeply racist, faces criticism in Austria
A poem about migration, "The City Rat," was written by the deputy mayor from the far-right Freedom Party, Christian Schilcher. The poem has been facing immense criticism from the citizens of Austria as it is a racist one. It asks migrants to integrate or "quickly hurry away" and compares human with rodents. Chancellor Sebastian Kurz has called the poem disgusting, inhuman and deeply racist and had no place in Austria.
