Prominent Indian-American lawyer elected to a key counterterrorism position in the White House

Kashyap Pramod Patel, a prominent Indian-American lawyer, has been named to a key counterterrorism role in the White House. Patel, 38, had previously served as Senior Counsel for counterterrorism at the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence till early this year. However, he has now been appointed as Senior Director of Counterterrorism Directorate of the NSC in the WH. Patel is New York-born with roots in Gujarat.
