Protesting Students blame Babul Supriyo for provoking violence by sexist remarks

The Kolkata district secretary of the left-backed Students' Federation of India(SFI), Samanway Raha has blamed the BJP Union Minister Babul Supriyo for provoking violence through his sexist remarks. Supriyo had gone to Kolkata to attend a seminar organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Samanway said that Supriyo made sexist remarks against the female students which added fuel to the anger of protestors.
