The anti-government protests in Thailand once again reached their peak as more than 2,000 demonstrators marched from Bangkok's Victory Monument to a nearby military barrack, demanding King Maha Vajiralongkorn to give up direct command of the army unit. The protests soon turned violent and resulted in a clash between the demonstrators and the police after police fired rubber bullets and used water cannon to disperse the crowd.
