Pune-based 41-year-old man is the First Indian contesting elections in Japan

Yogendra Puranik, a 41-year-old Pune-based man, is probably the 1st Indian to contest elections in the island nation for the Edogawa municipal elections in Tokyo & his election manifesto grabbed a lot of attention in India & Japan, which involves the availability of creche for babies, having a place of entertainment or vocational training for breastfeeding mothers. He went to Japan to pursue higher studies in 1997.
