Punjab assembly passes resolution against Citizenship Amendment Act

Following the footsteps of Kerala government, the Punjab state assembly has now passed a resolution moved by the ruling Congress demanding scrapping of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act. State Minister Brahm Mohindra moved the resolution against the CAA on the second day of the two-day special Assembly session. Mohindra said the CAA enacted by Parliament has caused countrywide anguish and social unrest.
