Raj Babbar steps down as Congress UP president

A day after Shantaram Naik steps down as Goa Congress chief, Raj Babbar joins him to quit as Congress UP Pradesh late on Tuesday. This move comes as a consequence of Congress worst performance in recently conducted bypolls to the Lok Sabha seats of Gorakhpur and Phulpur. While Goa Cheif resigned after Rahul Gandhi said that “make way for younger leaders”. Raj Babbar has also offered his resignation in 2017.
