In a major relief for the farmers affected by massive floods in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced a special package of Rs 300 crore to support the livelihood of the farmers. Nearly 1.4 million people in the state have been affected by the flood in the Brahmani and Mahanadi river system. 22 people were killed in the floods. 20,000 pulse seed mini kits will be provided to the flood-affected farmers.
