Russia accuses Alexei Navalny of fraudulently spending public donations in new criminal case

Days after warning Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny to return to Moscow, the Russian state investigators have opened a new criminal case against him, accusing him of fraudulently spending public donations to organisations controlled by him. Navalny and unnamed individuals have been accused of spending 356 million roubles ($4.81 million) donated to organisations that are under the personal control of the opposition leader.
