The Supreme Court today rejected sacked Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav's plea challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi's election as MP last year from the Varanasi constituency. Yadav's plea was dismissed by a three-judge bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde, Justice AS Bopanna and Justice V Ramasubramanian. The jawan wanted to contest election against the PM but his documents were rejected by Election Commission.
