SC asks EC to increase percentage of votes randomly tested against VVPAT

The Supreme Court on Monday has asked the Election Commission to register an affidavit mentioning its steps on increasing the proportion of EVM votes verified with paper trail. But it also said that the Commission should think of growing the percentage of votes randomly checked against the VVPAT. The court, today, has also banned political slogans, photos of political leaders and ads in public areas in Tamil Nadu.
