On Tuesday, the Supreme Court rejected the plea filed by Congress seeking simultaneous bypolls to 2 seats in Gujarat that went vacant after BJP's Amit Shah and Smriti Irani moved to the Lok Sabha. The Apex Court bench said, "The petitioner should go for poll petition after results. Once the EC issues notification, one can only file a petition. And SC can't intervene after the EC issues notification for polls."
