SC to hear govt pleas after Diwali against Article 35A

The Supreme Court is likely to hear pleas challenging Article 35A, relating to special rights and privileges of permanent residents of J&K after Diwali. The case was listed for hearing on August 29 and the separatists had called for a strike across the state that day. For now, protest program postponed for the time being due to hearing but new protest schedule would be issued whenever needed, said separatists leader.
