Senior official from India resigns after getting appointed by UN secretary

A senior official from India has resigned from his position of Representative of the UN Secretary-General for the investment of the assets of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund. The official, Sudhir Rajkumar had been appointed to the role by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in October 2017. However, the reason behind his resignation is not clear. Guterres has accepted Mr Rajkumar's resignation and thanked him.
