Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have discussions about providing relief for drought-hit farmers in Maharashtra. The meeting was held amid the political deadlock in Maharashtra. The meeting took place at around 12 pm in the parliament. About 70 lakh hectares of land, was affected by the unseasonal rains as the crops were damaged which resulted in a loss of Rs 5000 crore.
