Singaporean academic jailed in US for spying for China

A Singaporean academic named Jun Wei Yeo pleaded guilty to spying on the United States for China. Also known as Dickson Yeo, the academic has been sentenced to 14 months in prison. Yeo was working with Chinese intelligence since 2015. Yeo was tasked with getting classified information from Americans with high-level security clearances in exchange for money. He set up a political consultancy in Washington to get information.
