Belarus administration has not been able is curbing the protests that started nearly 6 weeks ago after the victory of President Alexander Lukashenko in the election, that many claim was rigged. Some of the country's borders were also closed. The President also called in the army. "We are forced to withdraw troops from the streets, put the army on high alert and close the state border on the west," Lukashenko said.
