Speaker appeals against midnight deadline, no urgent hearing for the rebel Karnataka MLAs: SC

The Supreme Court has ordered the 10 rebel MLAs from Congress-JD(s) to appear before the speaker Ramesh Kumar at his office by 6pm on Thursday. The MLAs will now fly from Mumbai to Bengaluru to meet the speaker. Tomorrow, the court will listen to the decision of the speaker. He has also been asked to grant to time to the MLAs together. On Wednesday the court assured the MLAs about urgent hearing, only to decline it later.
