Students’ organisations call for 11 hour Northeast bandh to protest against Citizenship Bill

The security in the Northeast states have been beefed up as an umbrella body of students’ organisations of the region have called for an 11 hour Northeast bandh to protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill. The bandh began at 5 a.m. on December 10. The North East Students’ Organisation (NESO) will observe the shutdown till 4 p.m. against the Bill which was introduced in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
