Supreme Court issues notice to centre, J&K administration over Saifudin Soz's detention

The Supreme Court today issued a notice to the Centre and the administration of the Union Territory regarding the release of Saifuddin Soz, senior political leader in Jammu and Kashmir. The 82-year-old has been under informal house arrest since August, when the centre abrogated Article 370 from the erstwhile state. Congress's veteran lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi appeared for Soz's wife, calling his arrest illegal.
