US President Donald Trump’s administration has confirmed that it is cutting down all the US funds for the main UN programme for Palestinian refugees. The move will badly affect 5 million people who rely on its schools, healthcare, and social services. It said that “not willing to shoulder the very disproportionate share of the burden”, for the UNRWA. European and Arab countries have pledged to protect the agency.
