The US cuts $440 million financial aid to Pakistan

In a major setback for cash-strapped Pakistan, the United States further slashed the aid to Pakistan under Pakistan Enhanced Partnership Agreement (PEPA) 2010 by nearly USD 440 million, bringing down its commitment to just USD 4.1 billion from USD 4.5 billion. Last year also Pentagon had cut USD 1 billion worth financial and USD 300 million military aid to Pakistan citing Pakistan's failure to tackle terrorism.
