The Chinese embassies in Vietnam's Hanoi and the Philippines responded strongly to United States National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien's assurance of support to the two countries against China’s “aggressive” actions in the South China Sea during a recent visit. The embassy said that "US is not a party to the South China Sea dispute... but has been openly interfering in the issues under the name of safeguarding stability."
