'We are being punished, the case is being delayed': Nirbhaya's mother

Court directs Tihar authorities to file report on status of scheduled execution of Nirbhaya convicts

The Delhi court had directed Tihar jail authorities to file a proper report on the status of the scheduled execution of 4 convicts in the Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case. As one of the convicts has moved a mercy plea before the President, the hanging will not take place on Jan 22. Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi said all this is happening to delay the case and we are being made to run as if we committed the crime.
