West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankar rescued BJP minister babul Supriyo after the latter was heckled by a section of students at Jadavpur University, where he had gone to address a seminar which was organised by the ABVP. Supriyo was shown black flags, was slapped and his shirt was torn by the agitating students who had warmed the minister not to come. The governor left with him and returned to the Raj Bhavan.
