During the India Carpet Expo organized in Varanasi, Union Minister Smriti Irani said that only 1% of children of the weavers and craftsmen receive their higher education and to improve that the Union Govt will provide 75% fee for their education. The members of the Carpet Export Promotion council asked her for tax concession to which she answered that they have taken her wrongly as the Finance Minister.
