Zimbabwe has announced that it has signed the contract with American firm Ipsidy to provide fingerprint biometric identity solutions for the upcoming general election. The contract was awarded and signed by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission. The technology will be used to produce the required voter rolls for the elections by comparing it with the biometric voter database allegedly established in 2017.
