News Corp has come under global criticism for publishing a sexist and racist cartoon of Serena Williams. The illustration was done by Mark Knight and the way he depicted Williams that has been compared to the racist illustrations during the US Jim Crow era. He also portrayed Osaka as a white woman. In an interview, Knight said people have misinterpreted the cartoon and he won't take it down.
