Alexander Zverev pledged to donate his prize money to bushfire relief if he wins the Australian Open winner’s cheque of $2.83 million after he stormed into the second round. The German seventh seed cruised past 77th-ranked Italian Marco Cecchinato 6-4, 7-6 (7/4), 6-3. He also said he will donate $10,000 for every match he wins. Last year, Zverev had recorded his best result at Melbourne Park, reaching the last 16.
