Andrew Strauss appointed chairman of ECB cricket committee
Former England captain Andrew Strauss is now the chairman of England and Wales Cricket Board’s cricket committee. The 42-year-old, who was the director of England cricket from 2015 to 2018, had left the job to care for his wife, Ruth, who died of a rare form of lung cancer. Strauss has played 100 Tests for England scoring 7,037 runs at an average of 40.91. He led England to two Ashes wins and the no.1 Test ranking.
