Adding another achievement to his name, team India skipper Virat Kohli has been named People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India's Person of the Year for 2019. Kohli sent a letter on PETA India's behalf to officials calling for the release of Malti, an elephant used at Amer Fort, who was reportedly violently beaten by 8 men and helped PETA India call for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, to be updated.
