Ash Barty still No.1 despite semifinal loss at Aus Open

Australia’s Ash Barty holds on to her top spot at the latest WTA rankings, despite beaten in the semifinals of the Australian Open last month. After winning the Adelaide International in January, the 23-year-old was knocked out of the last 4 in the Australian Open after a 7-6, 7-5 defeat against American Sofia Kenin who was eventually the champion. Simona Halep has held on to 2nd spot followed by Karolina Pliskova.
