Athletics: Tokyo Olympics qualification period suspended until December

World Athletics has suspended the qualification period for the Tokyo Olympics until December amid the COVID-19 pandemic after consulting with its Athletes’ Commission. During this period, results at any event will not be recorded for Tokyo 2020 berth. There will be no publication of rankings as well. Athletes who already have the entry standard since the start of the qualification period will remain qualified.
