In the first-ever time in Test cricket, Australia's Marnus Labuschagne became the first concussion substitute as the batsman comes in place of Steve Smith, who was ruled out of the 2nd Test of the Ashes series at Lord's on the final day. The former captain was struck on the neck by a 92mph bouncer by England's Jofra Archer on Day 4 of the match. He retired hurt but came back before he was dismissed for 92.
