Former world no.1 Lee Chong Wei announced retirement from badminton with "no regrets", struggling to return to full fitness after a nose cancer diagnosis last year. The three-time Olympic silver-medallist started training in January to fulfill his "dream" of winning Malaysia's maiden gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but has now opted to retire on doctors' advice. He had taken a break in September for treatment.
