Bayern confirm Franck Ribery departure and farewell match

Bayern Munich has confirmed Franck Ribery will end his 12-year stint at Allianz Arena at the end of this season. He and fellow stalwart Arjen Robben will be given a farewell match next year. Ribery wouldn’t extend his contract beyond June 2019 after joining Bayern in 2008 and winning eight Bundesliga titles in 12 years since then. Robben recently returned from injury and Ribery scored in a 3-1 win over Hanover.
