Beginning journey in politics, paralympian Deepa Malik joins BJP

With the decision to begin her journey of politics, the first Indian woman athlete to win Paralympics medal, Deepa Malik has today joined the Bhartiya Janta Party. This has come after Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir joined BJP recently. In September 2016, Deepa created history by bagging a silver medal in Shotput at Paralympics 2016. The time before elections is crucial as many political parties welcome newcomers.
