India suffered a huge blow in their World Cup campaign. Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the tournament with a fractured thumb after hitting a hundred against Australia on Sunday. He will need a minimum of 3 weeks to recover. India will next play against New Zealand on June 11, and Dhawan’s absence will be a major setback. He will most likely be replaced by Shreyas Iyer or Rishabh Pant for the remaining matches.
