Atletico Madrid captain Diego Godin is leaving the Spanish club after 9 years when his contract ends in June. Godin has featured in 387 matches for Atletico since his arrival from Villarreal in 2010, scoring 27 times - including famously winning the club’s first La Liga title in 18 years with a header in a 1-1 draw at Barcelona in 2014. The Uruguayan defender is expected to join Italian Serie A club Inter Milan.
