Dutch football hero Wesley Sneijder announces retirement
Netherlands’ most-capped player Wesley Sneijder has announced his retirement from football, bringing an end to a 17-year-spanning trophy-laden career. The 35-year-old playmaker has appeared 134 times for his country. Sneijder’s career haul includes a World Cup runners-up medal along with Champions League, La Liga and Serie A titles. The playmaker had successful stints with Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Galatasaray.
