East Bengal has roped in Indian-origin Iranian midfielder Omid Singh for a two-year contract. He will join the I-League giants once the next season starts. The 29-year-old left-winger originally hails from Punjab and has an Indian passport. Omid currently plays for Naft Masjed Soleyman FC in the Persian Gulf Pro League. The I-League was suspended with four rounds still to be played due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
