FIFA fine Man City over ‘international transfer of minors’

Manchester City was found guilty by FIFA for breaking the rules over international transfer and registration of U-18 players. City could have received a transfer ban, but FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee decided to fine City $379,000. Last year also, Man City was cleared of any wrongdoing regarding the 2016 signing of Benjamin Garre from Velez Sarsfield just after the Argentine midfielder celebrated his 16th birthday.
