First female Most Valued Player award given at Asian games
Winner of six gold and two silver medals, Japanese swimmer Rikako Ikee has become the 'Most Valuable Player' at the Asian Games. She is the first female athlete to earn this title. The swimmer is the fourth Japanese athlete to win this award. Ikee's six gold medals were achieved in record times and she was the unanimous choice for this award. Japanese woman performed better than their male counterparts at the games.
