Gulam Bodi, who had played three ODIs for South Africa, has been sentenced to 5 years in jail after pleading guilty to 8 charges of corruption. The batsman is already banned for 20 years for his role in attempting to fix matches in a domestic T20 competition. CSA has revealed no fixtures were affected as the plans of Bodi and other conspirators failed. However, Bodi will now appeal to extend his 3,000 rand bail.
